New small crossovers known brands are entering the market.
In the segment of small SUVs in Europe is going to become much closer since automakers reveal new challengers in the fast-growing sector. At the motor show in Frankfurt this month Hyundai, Kia, Citroen and Seat will debut the new segment, which is forecast almost to double to 2.2 million sales in 2021 from 1.16 million last year.

This segment is "very emerging market," the analysts said.

Citroen C3 Aircross, Kona Hyundai, Kia Seat and Stonic Arona will be publicly presented in Frankfurt on Tuesday, September 12.

They will join the segment, which gained explosive popularity until 2010, when Nissan released the Juke.

Since then, Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008 have gained success, attracting buyers who are looking for a car with high ground clearance in a shortened base. Despite their late presentation, heads of brands-newcomers expect that they will win the sale from known opponents. "Citroen C3 Aircross" is more than a new model in the line of Citroen. For us this is another accelerator in the world transformation of a brand - the Director-General said at a press conference in June.

COO Hyundai Europe, Thomas Schmid said that Kona will play a key role in the application of the brand to become the best selling Asian brand in the region by 2021.

In contrast to the Tucson and Santa Fe, Kona, more playful because it was designed to attract young buyers. It also provides the option of all-wheel drive, which is inaccessible for all other models in the segment.

Speaking about the upcoming small SUV of the brand, chief Executive officer of Kia Europe Michael Cole said: "with the expansion of the segment Stonic will be one of our best selling cars."

High technology.

As Kona and Stonic will have technologies that are usually seen on larger cars. Kona - the first in Europe, Hyundai offers a display with a projection screen. Technology driver support Stonic includes automatic emergency braking system that automatically switches between main and dipped light, and warns the driver about danger.

Citroen claims that the Aircross has a best-in-class interior. As in the case of competitors Hyundai and Kia, C3 Aircross will offer advanced technology, including wireless charging of the smartphone, Keyless entry and camera.

C3 Aircross, which was demonstrated as a concept at the Geneva motor show in March uses the same platform PSA Group, Opel / Vauxhall Crossland X, which went on sale earlier this year.

Emotions.

Brand Seat expects that the design of Arona, with cladding on the wheel arches and side skirts will help to attract buyers. The SUV will offer up emotions that I was once looking for drivers in three-door hatchbacks.
Seat President Luca de MEO to maintain profitability, the new grade counts on SUVs, which tend to have a higher rate of return than the hatchbacks. He expects that the road will be 30 to 35 percent of global sales of the brand, compared to today's 5 percent.

In keeping with the desire to become a Seat brand for the mass market in Arona will offer Apple Car Play, Android Auto and Mirror Link as well as security features and comfort, such as adaptive cruise control, fatigue detection driver, a multiplayer mode, collision avoidance.

The VW brand will present its latest SUV T-Roc in Frankfurt, which will be less than VW Tiguan.
